Grow better fish—Grow fish better

In aquaculture, traditional fish grading has been limited to size.

But SORTpro’s gender sorting technology changed the game, optimizing growth by grouping fish more effectively and boosting salmon farming efficiency by over 20%.

Now, we’re taking it further

SORTpro scans each fish from multiple angles—both externally and internally—to build a complete health profile, enabling precise early decisions.

Unviable fish—like early maturers, those with deformities, disease markers, or other challenges—are instantly filtered out in real-time, ensuring that only the healthiest progress forward.

Precision sorting, redefined

Our patented tech combines multi-sensor data, vast libraries, and advanced AI  to set a new standard in precision sorting.

With SORTpro, farmers can apply flexible sorting criteria—filtering fish based on absolute health indicators or identifying the lowest-performing portion of the population (e.g., the bottom 10%).

And we’re still evolving the SORTpro, with new diagnostic features on the way. For instance, the NephroReduce project, in partnership with MOWI, Cermaq, Lerøy, and UiB, is showing how targeted health diagnostics improve resilience and reduce kidney disease in farmed fish.

A transformative step for aquaculture

By advancing only the best fish, SORTpro increases yield, reduces waste, and enhances fish welfare, supporting sustainable, profitable growth for the future.

Together, we’re growing better fish and growing fish better.
