Venture builder Nacre Capital identified an opportunity to use artificial intelligence in aquaculture, and founded Aquaticode in 2018.

 

Aquaticode recently fundraised NOK 60m and are now launching solutions to gender sort smolt, enabling increased efficiency in salmon farming. In addition to shortening production cycles, Rognlid (Aquaticode CEO) states that mono-gender populations will lead to more efficient feeding as the biomass is more homogeneous.
