AI advances operational and biological efficiency, decreasing production cost and boosting harvest yield. Our research has the potential to increase the number of seafood meals served across the world
Aquaticode has ongoing projects aiming to detect, identify and predict several relevant traits
But this is only the beginning. We continue to research the interaction between genotype (DNA) and phenotype (visual expression of the DNA) in fish and shrimp. This means that we are (soon) able to decode a world of knowledge from an array of pixels
"Aquaticode breaks through the existing biological barriers, taking the industry to a new era of growth"
Einar Wathne
Chairman of the NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster
We need to feed a growing population and at the same time reduce the exploitation of our oceans’ resources. Aquaculture can enable us to produce more with less. It can save the planet – if we do it right
